It says that an ICE flight of children with family members will return 40 each to El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras on Monday, although the arrival time has not been confirmed.

 

Meanwhile, I talked with a 15-year-old who I met in early-April at the migrant return center. He was traveling with his mom and dad. They had lived in the U.S. for 7 years and voluntarily departed, but upon return here, were extorted and threatened with death. The youth informed me today that his dad was murdered a few days after that deportation from Mexico. I feel great sadness right now, because some of these families will be similarly harmed.

 Mientras tanto, hablé con un niño de 15 años de edad, a quien conocí a principios de abril en el centro de retorno de migrantes. Él viajaba con su mamá y papá.  Habían vivido en los EE.UU. durante 7 años y voluntariamente partió, pero al regresar aquí, fue extorsionado y amenazado de muerte.  El joven me informó, hoy, que su padre fue asesinado pocos días después de la deportación desde México.  Siento una gran tristeza en este momento, porque algunas de estas familias se verán perjudicadas de manera similar.
